  • Inspection copies
    • Inspection copies of paperback titles suitable for use as textbooks are available to teaching staff only and are issued at the discretion of University of Exeter Press.

      Requests for inspection copies should be sent by mail or fax on your department letterhead and should include the following information:

      • Your name, department and position in department
      • The title of the course and when it is to be offered:
      • Expected enrollment;
      • Course level (undergraduate or graduate)
      • Titles of any textbooks currently being used for this course

      Please note:

      • A maximum of three books are allowed on inspection at any one time and within any one year.
      • Books will only be sent to academic addresses
      • You will have 60 days to inspect the book(s)
      • We will also send you an invoice at 20% academic discount, plus postage and packing charges, payable in 90 days.
      • Should you adopt the book for a course of 10 or more students, the invoice will be cancelled and you may keep the book with our compliments. If you choose not to adopt the book, you may return it to us in saleable condition and have the invoice cancelled, or you may purchase it at the 20% discount price for your own use.

  • Translations
    • We welcome requests from publishers around the world to translate and publish our material.  If the translation rights are available for your selected title we will be happy to grant you a three-month option period in which to consider the book for translation.  Please note that we can only enter contract negotiations with a registered publishing company.
